Edwin “Winnie” Vazquez is a native New Yorker from Jamaica-Queens, USA. Born into a 1980’s New York City, he was inspired by the emergent sounds of Hip-Hop, Punk, and the thrill of movie soundtrack/scores.

As an alumni from the School of Visual Arts (NYC), a student in digital design at San Francisco Academy of Art (CA), an apprentice in music engineering at Sacramento City College (CA), a seeker of knowledge at the Museum of Comic Art (NYC), and cultural residence studies at The Best Friend Center in South Korea, Edwin utilizes the strengths from history while pioneering a powerful modern venture.

Edwin has worked for Bongo Comics, Titmouse Animation Studios, The Overlook Press & currently designs books for Penguin Random House. Notable titles include designs for Hip-Hop inspired titles The Upcycled SelfThe Book of Jose ; layout designs for the New York Times bestselling print-edition graphic novel Lore Olympus volumes 1-10; award-winning social awareness titles When Crack Was King, Rikers, A Knock At Midnight, and We Own This City, and the english translation of Han Kang’s We Do Not Part
